Looking at trading deadlines , and looking at next year ...

A few trade requests are starting to roll in .

Bad year , tumbled to last from first

Have a few offers coming in


Nylander + pick upgrade for Marchand

Reinhart + pick upgrade For Wheeler

________. For Chychrun ( asking value, they have lafrenierre.... not sure if too big an ask )


Basically , who would you keep , how would you upgrade ??

I might move Wheeler if the pick is decent enough, but I would prefer to get Nylader back than Reinhart if that's an option. Would need more than than for Marchand.

Would you move Wheeler for a 1st rnd pick only or with player?

The Gm asking about Chychrun has Lafrenierre .... and wondering if that’s a comparable future asset to ask for ?
Could I even ask for a pick as well, or is that too much ...

I would move Wheeler for the first. There's always going to be keeper guys you can pay less for later, but the firsts dry up very quickly.
Doesn't hurt to ask about Laf, but it's going to either be an easier deal or he'll completely shut you down. I don't think you can get a pick thrown in too.

Chychrun comparable asset to lafrenierre?...Chychrun is having a good year, but then so is JVR. There's no way he has the potential that Lafrenierre does, just based on pedigree/draft position/name value. Is he going to be a consistent top 5 D? I haven't watched a lot of games this year so I cant speak to what he looks like on the ice, but just from name value/hype/trade value there's no way you should be able to get Lafrenierre for Chychrun straight up. If you can, good on you.
