Why do you go with Point? He is struggling this year without Kucherov. Only 3 points in his last 9 games here.

I prefer EP here for sure. Point may outproduce him this year but long term I think Pettersson proves to be an elite talent

It's close and I don't think there's really a wrong choice here. Tampa will be a threat for years to come and the return of Kuch will only help Point. A 25 y/o ppg guy who can put up 30+ goals, he's a safe bet. With EP40, you have a 22 y/o pushing a ppg pace and he looks primed to be a 30+ goal threat as well. I worry a bit about the Canucks team going forward as they have a lot of anchors on that team affecting their cap, but that situation could get cleaned up by the end of next year. Regardless, EP40 will be a consistent line 1 and PP1 minute muncher and I think he pushes the Tier 1 status among scorers in the coming years.

Do you already have these two players and are deciding between them? Or looking to acquire one of them?

I have Point and debating dealing for EP40. Already have Kuch and Vas so worry about 3 from same team going forward. That and Point isn’t looking too good this year.

I hear you with the stacking idea - it's high risk/high reward. When is your trade deadline? Perhaps you could hope for BP to have a week where he blows up (thinking of upcoming games vs DET & NSH) and try to trade him for EP40 ++

I'd probably stick with Point. He's already at the place where EP wants to be (and will likely reach) but I don't worry too much about stacking players from TB.

Isn’t EP40 already as good as Point is? Same points last season. My main thing is EP is 22 and Point is 25.
