Cool Rantanen or Kucherov or P.Kane

    Rantanen, Kucherov, P.Kane going toward.

Not that any are available. Just gathering opinions.

I have always liked Kucherov since his rookie season. He seems to drive the play.
Kane is also a favourite mostly because I started playing hockey in Chicago and they remain a team that I like. Plus he’s pretty amazing regardless of talent around him.
Rantanen is younger and on another favourite team from the Sakic, Forsberg days. It seems that he relies on MacKinnon to a degree.

Is it just personal preference ?
    Kucherov, Kane, Rantanen ?

I would rank Kucherov...... Rantanen and then Kane moving forward and Kane is lower only due to age. I know others look to MacKinnon as to why Rantanen is doing well, but believe stats show that he does even better when MacKinnon is out of the line up which shows he is able to also drive the offense (will need to dig into this). I have Kucherov at least 1 tier above Rantanen and Kane moving forward.

    For me:

    Kucherov/Kane
    .
    .
    Rantanen

Kane is only 32 and his style of play will age very well. He's showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. And he's got an emerging DeBrincat to play with. I think the age thing is being overblown here even in a keeper. Kane will be top tier elite for a few more years yet and that's as far as you should be looking in a keeper anyway.

Kucherov speaks for himself. Like Kane he is one of the straws that stirs the drink and has proven 100+ point upside multiple times. Absolute stud as well.

Rantanen, as much as I like him, just isn't as much of a ''straw'' as the other two. I always prefer owning the straws more than the drinks. You know they'll produce with whoever they play with. Rantanen may prove to be that kind of driver eventually but for now he's behind the first two in my eyes.
