My Brady for his Marner?

Im in 1st by 18 points right now. Looking at team totals here is how I rank:

T-2 in Goals
3rd in Assists
8th in +/-
4th in PPP
2nd in SOG
1st in Hits

Keep marner he is elite. I know people wil say tachuk is a category beast blah blah blah. Marner is a scoring machine and scoring is way way harder to come by.

I'm a Brady believer. Kid is just so dynamic in so many cats and pretty much guarantees you the Hits win every week. There are very few players I would trade him for and Mitch sure as hell isn't one of them

Gotta put it into perspective. Marner could get 2X as many assists. Brady will get ~15X more hits.

And marner will get 3x the ppp and the plus minus will be stupid higher in Marners favour and actually the sog are a wash too. So that is 3 cats for marner by a lot to one for tkachuk. So like I said I don’t see how this is close.

Well just gonna step in here... Tkachuk has almost double the SOG Marner has.

Marner. 10 g 23 a +18. 11 PP. 58 SOG. 8 hits

Brady. 9 g. 7a. - 4. 4 PP. 108 SOG. 107 hits.

Goals are a wash. Not even debatable, Marner has a career-high of 26 goals.
Assists will be Marner 100%, at least double of Brady
+/- is a stupid stat. Yes, Marner will be better, but it varies so much week-to-week that it's dumb to consider it too highly in trades
PPP again, Marner. Maybe around double but you never know.
SOG - Brady, double.
Hits - Brady, 15X what Marner will do.

Hits are the reason Brady is better. He will steal a category every week.

He gets one shot a game more over 82 games on average than marner. That is a wash to me. That’s 4 extra shots a week. Not enough to tip the scales. When marner beats Brady badly in the other three cats. It’s not close. Brady is great but he is not marner.

The thing is hits are easy to find that is my point. Everyone in the wire has hits for days. Find me the other stats that marner does on the wire.

I agree normally about +/- but in this situation you can definitely consider it and marner will win this stat easily. Likely be a 40 plus swing. You really think Brady is going to be close to marner in ppp? Like really? Come on man.

Marner - 58 SOG / 23 games = 2.52 SOG/G
Brady - 108 SOG / 25 games = 4.32 SOG/G

I guess this is why I posted this debate.

Is it better to have an elite producer who will likely be great in 2 or 3 hard to come by stats.

Or to have the guy that has a very good chance at winning me 2 categories every week.
