Goalie Nightmares - It's a crapshoot, right?

Goalies are voodoo!

Into week 7 of H2H, I have been doing well due to my drafted forward group (placed 2nd out 8 teams) however, goalies have been the one thing from me exerting dominance over my league. If I could even be middle of the pack in the net, I'd probably run away with 1st place. Team in signature.

In fact, I'm at the bottom of the league for goalies:

Wins (1-5-0), Losses (1-4-1), GAA (2-4-0), SV% (2-4-0) and SHO (0-2-4).

I have been scouring the wire and streaming for goalie starts, but recently let go of Samsanov to maximize goalie wins (Reimer) as a last-ditch effort when he was in isolation and AHL. No one has taken Samsanov yet.

The best available starter options are quite intriguing but iffy at best:

- Blackwood (Waivers right now)
- Khudobin (Bishop and Oettinger also available)
- Elliot
- Lankinen (Is he legit?)
- Samsanov
- Sorokin (secure NYI starts?)
- Shersterkin
- Jarry
- Gibson
- Saros/Rinne

Right now, Varlamov has been the only consistent starter for me. I've also managed to pluck Kakhonen but only after his recent run - Talbot is back now so it's at best a time-share situation. Reimer is also on my roster as a streamer option, but as Mrazek returns, his value was only tied to wins which will inevitably decrease as he moves into a timeshare while his other ratios were poor.

Any thoughts would be appreciated as I'm just looking to at least be competitive in goalie stats.

Drop Kahkonen for Jarry asap.

I too would pick up Jarry, but drop Reimer not Kahkonen. Mrazek is back soon.

I’m assuming this is a 1-year league with all those young studs on waivers.

This. Blackwood is also interesting. If this is a keeper I’d have different advice. Gibson talent wise is a stud but that team is well hot garbage and as good as Gibson is he sucks at scoring goals.

I would hold to Reimer for now. I mean Mrazek is close to return but when exactly? Even if he is back this weekend you never know how hes gonna perform... Hold to Reimer if you can. For now I would drop Kakhonen for either Jarry, Khudobin or Blackwood. It depends on the matchups for the coming next 7-10 days.

That was my thinking too. Plus Mrazek has always found a way to tweak things so who knows how long he'll stay healthy.

I would drop Reimer personally. Alex Nedeljkovic has looked really good lately and I think he will get more and more starts until Mrazek returns.
