McAvoy will not lose his spot on PP1 IMO.
I've been hanging on with hopes that he will reclaim PP1 on a dynamite Bruins offense and maybe, just maybe, my defense would emerge as a formidable...Looked like he might have returned last week, then was a "close" GTD scratch throughout the week, and I continued to hold.
Now the B's are off til Wednesday (playing WAS x2 and NJ this week), and I only have 2 IR slots filled with him and Mrazek. Meanwhile both Nico & Kuz are IR+ eligible dealing with upper-body injuries so I'm down some man-games if they don't suit up this week.
Should I hold a bit longer, or cut bait on him? I currently only have 3 starting D, and figure Grzelcyk could be my 4th when he returns, but there are some notable FAs:
Risto (waivers clear tomorrow)
Dumba
Ekholm
Boqvist
Morrissey
Karlsson
Pesce
There are also some decent forward FAs I could stream by dropping Grzelcyk and moving a C to IR, like Batherson, Meier, Zucc, Mangiapane, Stuetzle, Kreider, Thornton.

I think there is still a chance Grz gets PP1 back. McAvoy is a better defensive D man. Grz's strongest qualities are his puck moving abilities. I would be surprised if he doesn't get another crack at PP1 when he gets healthy.
If you can hold off another week you will probably have your answer.
If not then I think I would look to snagging one of the FA's you listed. Ristolainen, Dumba or roll the dice on Karlsson....

Well we got 1 vote for, 1 against.
All I can say is right now I'm a little sour that I didn't dump him to add Batherson before their game tonight..

I keep hearing that the Bruins coach is obsessed with having a lefty D on PP1. So while it seems logical that McAvoy would stay on PP1, the coach isn't necessarily thinking logically.
I love Grz but with the names available (particularly Risto or Dumba) I would likely make the move.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
Risto was unfortunately claimed by a higher priority..really wanted him though.
How would everyone rank these guys ROS:
Grzelcyk
Dumba
Karlsson
Ghost (been shooting more and seeing PP1 time it seems)
Dumba scares me because it seems like MIN struggles so badly on the PP. Only clicking at 8%, and I don't even know that Dumba is firmly planted on the top unit. Plus I have Fiala doing jack lately..

I think that Grzelcyk has the potential to win that PP spot back and be a productive but its not worth the wait considering the options on the waiver wire.

Grzelcyk back on the first PP unit. https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/b...-combinations/
This is his big shot. If he can finally stay healthy for a stretch and play hockey at the level he is capable of he can increase his value immensely with this golden opportunity.

All good points NJDev.
It is up to you if you want to get him back in the line up tonight. Do you have some low hanging fruit to purge off your roster? I dropped Gurianov to get him on my roster in my Elite league.
You could try to move him but his value really is low right now even though he is scheduled to line up as the first PP quarterback. Likely best to see if he flourishes or not. At least then you can either drop him for another player or get some real value for him if you still want to move him.

The two most droppable players I have right now are Stutzle (picked up to stream 4 games this week), or Gibson. If Mrazek returns soon as it seems he will then I could likely get rid of Reimer too, but as it stands now Gibson is my 3G and in the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately camp.
