Carlson for Lafreniere

I’ve been offered John Carlson for Lafreniere.

I’ve been a bottom dwelling team in a keeper and rebuilding this year with a lot of younger guys. I’m doing ok so far. The last two years I’ve gotten the top two guys from the real nhl draft. I’ve been lacking elite scorers, I know Lafreniere is off to a slow start but I’m wondering if I should be patient with him before I trade him away. Here’s my team:
Forwards:
Kuznetsov, B Tkachuk, Lafreniere, Stuetzle, J Hughes, Kakko, Yamamoto, Kubalik, Palmeri, Atkinson, Meier, R O’Reilly

Defensemen:
S Jones, Giordano, Barrie, Faulk, Werenski

Goalies:
Khudobin, Gibson, Merzlikins

G, A, BLK, HIT, SOG, PPP
W, GAA, SV%, SO

Depends on roster positions but assuming D have their own slots I would think you could get Laf + for Carlson. Given where your team is at, it probably doesnt make sense though unless you can flip Carlson for more.... which I personally think you could.

How many do you keep?

Limited keeper - I'm definitely making the swap. Youth is insanely overvalued in limited keepers.

We keep 10 (1 goalie max).
It's an ongoing keeper league.

i agree with the poster of above try to get Laf + for carlson while his value is at its lowest.

I would keep Lafreniere. Your team is young and Laf will figure it out.
