Default Time to make some bold moves

Things have been on a steady downward spiral since Week 1. Between underperforming draft picks, crap luck with postponements, running into hot streaks, missing out on those season-saving FA pickups (Trocheck anyone?)...I need to do something bold and hope for the best.

My team is pretty much only top-performing in G and SOG. Near bottom of the barrel in A, +/-, PPP, and goalie cats.

I think I need to start throwing offers out there that include some of the big guns - Ovi, Marchand, Patches, Josi, Sergachev, Rust - pretty much my only guys still performing, or jump ship and cut my losses with guys who may have more perceived value but won't regress positively too much, like Burns & Fiala.

Stuck with too many of the "too good to drop" types that are hamstringing my flexibility.

My team is pretty much only strong at LW, and there are some notable LW FAs (Kreider, Ritchie, Verhaege, Tuch, Comtois, Bjorkstrand, Gurianov) that I maybe need to try 'shifting' the balance of my team so get help at C, D, G even if it means slight overpayments so that I can start playing the short-game to get back in it.

So if all of you fine fantasy hockey enthusiasts are me - who are the top guys you're trying to move and what are some type of players (either multi-cat or cat-specialists) to try landing?

Would anyone here trade Burns for PLD straight up?

Would probably have to drop or trade either Kuznetsov or Hischier so I don't have 4 pure C. Available replacement DEF are Risto, Dumba, Morrissey, Ekholm, Boqvist, Pesce

Or could try to work out a deal with another GM of Burns+ for Carlson? That guy also has Klinger, Ekblad, Chychrun, Krug, & Grubauer/Varly/Price. Would love Grub or Varly...

There is a lot to unfold here.

But as for your question. I would not trade Burns for PLD when you have enough C and are strong on LW (assuming he gets LW eligibility)

I would be looking more at the Burns - Carlson deal. Talk to the manager and see what the plus would be and let us know.

Thanks PH. I've been trying to 'unfold' my team since Week 2

I could definitely see how Burns for PLD may be a bad deal, but my rationale for considering is IF PLD got LW eligibility, then that could free me up a bit to try moving another pure-LW since those are really my most valuable and desirable assets. But all things being equal, I usually always prefer to have a solid D over C due to scarcity -- Burns just doesn't seem to be the Burns of old any more :/

He seems to be interested in Atkinson, so would Burns+Atkinson for Carlson be giving up too much?

What about something like Burns+Atkinson+Reimer+Mrazek(IR) for Carlson+Varlamov?
