    Default Tavares for Panarin?

    Hey fellas,

Regarding team 1, I have 3 pure C (Tavares, Bergeron & Trocheck). Looking ahead, there will undoubtedly be some conflict where I have to bench one. I'm in 1st by quite a large margin and was thinking this could be a decent opportunity to acquire Panarin by offering him Tavares. Thoughts on this move?!

    Thanks in advance!

No brainer if you're getting Panarin, but if you're just thinking about offering you would probably have to add something substantial

That's what I thought. I'm going to give it a shot with Tavares since Panarin is out and buddy may be desperate to start moving up in the ranks to try to make playoffs.

Yeah I don't think Tavares for Panarin gets it done but perhaps the circumstances gives you a position of strength to trade from. If you can get it done and you feel confident Panarin comes back then it's a slam dunk. I think you only lose out on hits to be honest.

On the other side you are top and so the make up of your team is good and competitive. Do you want to 'gamble' that on carrying Panarin for a period of unknown time. Anyone else that is currently active that you could move Tavares for?

There looks to only really be one other team who could use a C. They have Stone and DeBrincat which are two players I could target I suppose.

Either of those aren't terrible options. Debrincat is bouncing back and playing big minutes. Stone will continue to be involved in most of Vegas output.

If you're top I'd argue you don't need to chase and gamble. I'd lean away from picking up a guy like Panarin who we don't know when he'll return.

If you're losing games played through benching a centre then DeBrincat or Stone aren't the worst people to target. I'd say your team output remains similar but you get more games played?

Stone maybe, but I dunno about debrincat. Seems like you should be getting a bit more, as good of a year as he's having. Just seems like a sell low buy high a bit.

Absolutely would do it if you think you can handle the blow. Now might be a good time with Tavares 2A night. Dont know if they will take that, but due to the uncertainty around Panarin it's worth a shot.

Moving Bergeron instead of Tavares is also an option... really not sure who I'd rather keep as they both feel very similar. For some reason, a Bergeron for DeBrincat swap doesn't feel as bad.

    Thoughts?

Bergeron is better. Centering the line that has been the best line in the NHL consistently for the past ~3 years. Bergeron for Debrincat is terrible IMO

Just moved Tavares for Stone! Hopefully the 5A from Stone last night is the beginning of him turning things around.

Great job! I was going to say to not go for Panarin because is to risky of a move for you. Stone is a solid winger in return for Tavares.

Thanks! I'm very happy to now be running with Berg and Trocheck at C and Stone as a RW. Now if Konecny can return to form I'll be stacked at RW :P
