Who's the better own ROS in a points only league?

I have Ferraro and Bear (on bench) but wondering if Bean is worth a pick-up!?

    Thanks!

Bean is by far and away the best offensive option

Ferraro is giving really solid periphs

If Bean can continue to get consistent ice time I prefer him.

I would go with Bear. He's going to play the most and will get lots of ice time with McDavid or Draisaitl. The Oilers lead the NHL in goals per game.

Thanks guys. Went ahead and picked up Bean and dropped Ferraro. Keeping Bear on bench as replacement option.

If you use the frozen tools player comparison it shows pretty clearly that Ferraro and Bean are the best two of the three. Small sample size for Bean. But Ferraro is the best of the three by a bit.

I did use the frozen tools comparison before posting here. Ferraro is very strong for periphs (as mentionned by Lucafen4), which don't count in my league.

I opted to take a crack at Bean and hope for better pts output, which he's been doing so far. If I had traded Bear for Bean instead of Ferraro, would have had to use up both a FA move and a Bench move instead of just a FA move (those expire at trade deadline but moves with bench last all season)

So why start a thread asking about what to do if you knew what you needed to do?

And I know you don't count peripherals but all the underlying numbers (the stuff in the extended stats area) show that Ferraro clearly has the best production potential going forward and the most sustainable production as well.

I feel OP, sometimes you’ve just gotta get those second and third opinions juuust to be sure you’re making the right move, I’ll never blame anybody for that.

Usually you'll find the numbers give you the best info and coming on here gets you a lot of gut feeling and biased opinions (which I am often guilty of myself). In the end he made the one move I would not have made - dropping Ferraro.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I was hesitating between both options. Actually was leaning a tiny bit towards trading Bear instead of Ferraro. Therefore this thread.

I think this is what these forums are for!? Sometimes all we need are a few opinions to convince us to lean one way instead of another.

In the end I figured the minor difference in points till end of season was worth saving a move between my bench and starting lineup.

    No worries.

I often come on these forums for opinions for varying reasons. Sometimes I follow what is suggested to me and other times for whatever reason (bias, gut feeling etc) I lean toward another option. Doing both has helped and hurt me in the past.

So lesson is, there is no absolute right answer!?
