Aho vs Laine

In a cap pts only league (1st in sig), would you trade Aho for Laine and 2nd rounder? Basically I'm out of contention for this year so I'm planning for next year. Do we think Laine can produce a 1ppg season while in Colombus?

No. Aho is the clear choice and it's not close really. Better team, better linemates, better driver of play, more consistent and to top it all off in a cap league, he has a great contract (and I am betting Laine will get overpaid on his next one).

Aho is a great asset in a cap league and you would need a much larger haul to move him.

I think Laine can produce at or near PPG in Clb...but his next contract should be an albatross. I'd hold on trading Aho in this case.

I don’t usually dabble in cap related leagues but I have to imagine Jarmo will throw whatever he can at Laine to get him to want to stick around. Even as an RFA I wouldn’t be shocked if his next contract starts with a 10...I don’t think Laine is that much more valuable than Aho in a points league.
