Acquiring Zibanejad
First team in signature. 10 team, keep 70 total, I can currently keep 9 (able to trade keeper spots). I also have draft picks 1,1,2,4,5,5,5,5,6,6,7 (nothing between rounds 8-13). I am not rebuilding for next year, the upgraded picks just happened through trade earlier this season.
I am currently looking to pull a 2 for 1 (tough to do in the league) to make some roster space for my returning IR players and also improve my C depth (currently Staal, Kempe, Necas are my only C eligible players).
Give: Fiala, Meier, 6th round
Get: Zibanejad, OEL, 5th round
I have no interest in OEL and he will probably eventually be a drop but the other GM has him and Chychrun so is low on OEL (my way of making a 2 for 1 without actually having it a 2-1). I feel like last season this is a smash accept. I feel like Fiala's play is sustainable and Meier's play will improve (low shooting %). But I guess the same can be said for Zibs!
My question is am I giving up too much for a struggling Zibanejad or should I take advantage of the buy-low window and get another solid keeper?

I don't love Meier or OEL and the draft picks are splitting hairs so in my eyes this basically comes down to Zibby or Fiala long term, and considering your categories I would prefer taking my chances on the Zibby side. Fiala is a beaut but Zibby is a multicat monster and I would imagine he bounces back after he gets his covid-ravaged ass back into gear.

with that set up Meier is quite valuable...however i think Meier and Fiala are border line top 70 players...Zib is for sure...
