What's up with Ghost?
Title says it all.
Last year, he was sheltered with high OZ% and low quality of opponents. Actually has been the case for a few seasons now. Had completely lost the confidence of the coach.
This year is a different story. He's out there starting mostly in the DZ%, getting slightly better opponents than usual. He's getting 20+ min per game, which is his highest since his glory days.
His teamates score like crazy when he's on the ice (16.3%!) but he's got an IPP of 10%!
So, he has 1 assist to show for in 9 contests.
Has he caught on the system that AV tries to implement and now plays better hockey -- and it means bad business for us fantasy owners who held onto him?
Has he been unlucky to get absolutely 0 secondary assist so far?
Is he turning the corner, and we're about to see a buy-low window close on him?
Or has his teamates been lucky, like his PDO suggest, and he's about to hit the press box again?
Any advanced stats geek who can decipher these better than I do?
Any Flyers fan who can see if the eye-test is better than the numbers-test?
