I just hope Panarin is back on the ice soon and that his family in Russia will be ok.

It has always been this way, but social media has given too many people a platform to do too much damage too quickly, before it can be reversed.

This is a really good point. If you want to spread a lie, social media is great for it.

People take their interpretation of events, and whine for sympathy or to get others to back them up. this often happens with family pressure to help a deadbeat relative, or do something for somebody that is never there for them, but now needs help.

Latvian police have confirmed no police report has been opened, or ever opened about the incident in question.

I'm not sure he has the inside scoop here but I'll take it as positive news.

. Coach David Quinn said Wednesday that he's very confident that Artemi Panarin will be cleared of everything.
Quinn has been in contact with Panarin, who won't play on Wednesday night after taking a leave of absence from the team to take care of a personal matter, and he believes the situation will be cleared up and things will get back to normal for the Rangers forward.

Coach Quinn talks to him daily apparently and Panarin is doing some skating. They're waiting for him to be ready, which who knows

The New York Rangers' best player is back with the team, though he won't suit up for a game just yet.

Artemi Panarin skated with the team Wednesday for the first time since taking a leave of absence from the club on Feb. 22, and he certainly appeared to be in good spirits.
