I’m trying to upgrade my lineup, as I’ve been falling in the standings lately, and Seguin not back until early Apr still (hopefully).

Trade options (rentals):

My 3rd for Monahan + 7th (team in last)

Potentially a 4th or 5th (no pick coming back) for Brayden Schenn.

Free agents available: Palat, Palmieri, E Kane.

Thoughts on these trade options?

My picks: 1-2-3-3-4-5-6-7-8 (extra 3rd).

I was asking the Schenn team about Lindholm but he plans to sign him to 1 year, so figured Schenn similar.

Update:

Offer is now Monahan + 6 for my 3.

So I'd be moving a pick in the Mid 30s likely for a pick in the early 70s.

It could be because you have been coming off like an ass in the Matthews/Draisaitl thread. Even if that isn’t your intention, you seem very confrontational and snarky to the very same people that you then turn around and ask for help from. And these are people way smarter than I am and have been active here for a lot longer. Just my 2 cents.

To get to your question, I like the deal of Monny and a 6th for a 3rd, I doubt you will find value like that in the 3rd round, especially if you are trying to make a bit of a push. I think he tops out at maybe 45ish, give or take? Not a bad addition at all.

Definitely wasn’t my intention at all, that thread seemed to get a bit testy but it seemed to be because I asked for advice, people replied, then I replied back and was still on the fence about doing it, and that came across as not taking advice. I actually appreciate all the feedback I get on here, just like when someone mentioned my posts can be long or hard to follow I tried to do better. Definitely am sorry if I ruffled any feathers, always hard to put stuff into context via this form of communication, but I enjoy the dialogue on here.

I ended up doing my 4th for Monahan and a 7th, and since were a keep 4 plus rookie carry over, Monahan has always been a keeper in this league vs in the draft, he’s bounced around for sure. At this point he’s strictly a rental, but if he finishes the season well he could be a trade chip since I’ve got contracts committed already for next year (no one expiring after this season). Or I could package him with a Hall type for 1 keeper, or flip Hall for pick(s) if he wakes up and sign Monahan short term, gives me more options for sure. But primarily I’m looking at it as improving for this year atm.
