Hellebuyck trade

So I am in the middle of the pack right now in a 16-team H2H dynasty league with G, A, PPP, +/-, PIM, SOG, W, GAA, SV%, SHO as categories. We start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 6D, and 1 goalie.

I feel like my scoring is not where it should be and I am weak at RW and D. With us starting only 1G, I need to move at least 1.
One of the owners wants Helle and made 2 of Krug, Wheeler, and Atkinson available. I just don’t think it is enough for Helle. He has other players that certainly interest me more: McDavid, Barkov, Gaudreau, Carlson, Hedman, Giordano, Pionk. I did not include Marchand or Ovechkin since my LW is already pretty stacked.

I am trying to propose a counter. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

That is definitely not enough for helle, he is in his prime years right now. May let in a few extra goals this year with that division but is still a great keeper goalie. If you are set on trading him, send him a offer of what you think he is worth and go from there

I definitely have tried that but people dont’ want to pay anything decent for him.

The guy who wants Helle has put Hedman in play. Would it be crazy to swap Helle for him??

How often do you even play Halak? I'd think you could find a guy who can help you on more nights, with a longer future in the league. Not a world-beater, but somebody solid. Then again, your team is pretty deep.

If you could get Hedman and Wheeler for Helle and Ghost I would consider a win. Although you're 16 teams only playing one goalie makes goalies less valuable than the traditional 12 team league with 2 goalies.

I have been trying to strategically play him based on the opponent. Of course I did not start him against the Rangers when he got a shutout. ��.
I totally agree. I am looking for a solid piece back. Nothing crazy but I am getting lowball offers. I will keep trying.

I don’t think he would go for that. Ghost lost all of his value and while he is playing better this year, he is not getting any points.

I think your analysis is good. Based on your league being 9F/6D/1G, Defense is the prime position here based on scarcity. Goalies are least important in this league being 1G and 16 teams, and you have lots of good options. I would 100% be shopping Helle here but you need to hit a home run.

The original offer is no good. Hedman is a strong start but you need a second solid piece coming back and I would look for someone younger than Wheeler.

If he's not willing to up the Aunty beyond that, let the league know you have gotten some interest in Helle and shop him. See what other might be willing to offer. A strong D and RW or C is your optimal return. You can through in a lesser kicker to help solidify a deal.

So just to revive this thread as I was offered Hedman + Atkinson for Hellebuyck. I really do need an upgrade in D and can still run with Shesterkin, Halak, Rinne, and Sorokin. But I feel like this is not enough for Helle.
