Well if I were you I have have accepted yesterday. But yes, I was being facetious. We're coming back to the point that started all of this. A bunch of us prefer Leon. It seems that you don't and that's perfectly alright.

Lol, the fact I didn’t means I was listening to advice on here, had I done it that would be getting consensus then doing the opposite. I never said I don’t prefer Leon, it’s just hard to ignore what Matthews is doing.

    Now in a 3pts/G, 2pts/A, 1pt/PPP league...How close are these two?

Right now the comparison between the two:
    Draisaitl - 4.48pts/game (80.20pts)
    Matthews - 4.27pts/game (72.60pts)
Also lets add in MacKinnon - 3.30pts/game (39.60pts)

    How'd you rank these 3
    12 Team, H2H, Keep 6 (in Bold)
G, A, Pts, PPP, FW, SOG, Hits, Blocks
W, Saves, S%, GAA, Game Started
    2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 1Util, 2G, 5BN, 2IR, 1IR+, 1NA

    C: Horvat, Trocheck
LW: J. Robertson, Byfield (C), Guenther
RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas
    Util: Meier (LW, RW)
    G: Oettinger, Georgiev, Samsonov, Woll

Right now? Draisaitl, Matthews, MacKinnon. Going into the season, swap Matthews and MacKinnon, you? Matthews just got traded for Marner and a 3rd round pick. Those teams are 4th and 5th respectively, I’m 8th. I’d argue the team that traded for Matthews is more dangerous, as they’ve got an underperforming Zibanejad as well and Matthews will out fantasy point Marner. One issue does the team that traded for Matthews is they signed Zibane to 4 years before the season, and in the off season they bought out 3 years of Hischier after previously signing him, so contracts have bit him before. I believe at one point he had galychenyuk signed longer term too (when he was half decent).

If you think Matthews is comparable to Draisaitl then it is a no-brainer to take 4 years of Matthews and a pick that will get you goaltending (the 3rd next next year) over 2 years of Draisaitl.

Too late, plus can also enjoy his production and move him closer to when I need to do for a big haul. Sure the 3 sounded nice but it isn’t a slam dunk either given we’re a keep 4 plus rookie carry over.

As hot as Matthews is, he's still behind Draisaitl in the points race.

True, people were posting on Twitter is Drais fighting an injury or something, as he hasn’t looked the same lately.

Just unfortunate timing. Could have easily gone the other way with players of this caliber--take Matthews, he puts up two goose eggs, and Draisaitl goes off for two games.

As Axe mentioned Draisaitl is still ahead in the points race. Granted in two less games and Matthews has the better ppg (1.61 vs 1.5), but more signs are pointing to regression for him compared to Draisaitl, whose stats look more sustainable and has shown the higher upside already.
