I mean Draisaitl has literally had a 50 goal season years ago while Matthews is searching for his first one. :PYA! Now Leon is a better goal scorer too!

I think one of the interesting factors is that Draisatl is so damn complimentary to Mcdavid's playstyle... That duo should be good for YEARS and I don't see anyone on the maple leafs anywhere close to McDavid's calibre for Matthews to play with. I like Marner but McDavid's in a totally different league! Draisatl also has the factor of durability on his side which I don't think can be underestimated in pools. I have both Matthews and Draisatl in one of my pools and watching Drais save the day over and over again while Matthews gets hurt seemingly every year is an important factor, imo.
Anyways, I know hindsight is nice, but even when this was posted Matthews had been struggling with injury issues.
