Yeah it's not ideal but I'm not comfortable with any of us managing a second team. There will be situations where this second team could be making moves that impact what others teams do, and I'm not sure that should be done by one of us. Happy to see what others think, though.
Maybe EB has some spare time to help out - I don't know.
Just switch the name to Buffalo Sabres and no one will notice it's a team that has no GM to run it.

I get what HF is saying here and agree with his take. The idea is that if a current manager in the league is managing the team, they could make decisions that could benefit them and harm other teams. Such as picking a certain player or pitcher off of FA at a certain time, even if it is to replace an injury, who decides who that player is? I could see it working if there is a specific set of rules as to how that process takes place, like the move has to occur at a certain time each day, or each week, and can only replace the position, like for like, and is the current highest ranked Yahoo! player on the board. You could argue your team is adversely effected by not getting to play this team twice, with the main difference being the current situation is out of our control whereas having a manager manage his team would be in someone's control.
Regardless, I do think that the impact from both scenarios is minimal and think that we should just leave it as is so as not to complicate it.
Strength of schedule is a thing every year and someone's going to end up with the hardest and/or easiest. No matter what someone would only play the worst team in the league once in a season. It just so happens to be that this season that team is extra bad.
I'll post a message in my fantrax baseball league to see if any of the active gm's bite . lmk if thats ok first
Any luck asking around??
No bites at my end
