I just pick who falls to me. Never really have a plan when it comes to baseball.

Who should I send my lists to when I go to bed? I'm also overseas and will probably be sleeping when most guys are making their picks.
I'm picking 5th overall.

And is there a time limit for picks? Or just the honor system of not making others wait?

Sending Lists - I always try to send them to someone 'outside' of my next to picks.
So if I am picking 5th and the draft is on the way up (1-12) Then I would pick someone between 1-3 that has already made their pick on the way up.
This ensures that you get two picks from your list before the person that you sent a list picks. I think it is most effective.

And Vice-versa on the way down (12-1) Send it to someone who has already made their pick for the round on the way down, like team 10, 11,12.

This is especially effective if you are going to be away camping for the weekend or away for an extended period.

As for time limit - we usually just work on the respect system.
We do not expect anyone to make a pick within a certain amount of time.
And we usually try to let the league know if we are going to be away for an extended period if our pick is coming up.

Hey guys, I am two picks away and I have a local beer league game tonight - Will be back on to pick around 11:00

OR

Hey league, I am going camping this weekend and will have limited access to my phone. Will try to make picks or send in lists in the evenings.

Speaking of weekends, it always seems like the pace is quick during the week and slow on the weekends.


When the respect system doesn't work is when someone goes MIA for over 24 hours and has not checked in or left a list. Then thats when we will bring someone in to pick for ya or take over.

We are also understanding that life happens and something might come up that you can't notify us or check in for an extended period. We respect that and will come up with a solution and hope that everything is okay with you. WE just ask that if something like this happens, that you respect whatever decisions are made in an effort to keep the draft moving. And we will work things out with ya when you are able to get back into it.
