I figured the marketing team would have been all over it in the down period between opening of free agency and the NFL draft.

Think of how many new jerseys they would see of whoever they draft in the first round.

They might announce it at the draft.

However, I wouldn't put it past Snyder to release it at the start of the season to "force" people to buy more merch. I wouldn't even be surprised if he switched it back to R%#Skins because he's a terrible person who was being pressured to sell and he said "F you guys" and bought more of the team.

you got another week to finalize your lock draft!

I love how much Jerry loves Pitts tho lol. I'd be pretty surprised if he's there at 10 as he's likely a top 5 talent in the draft.

Yes, he is defininetly a top talent.

The mock I saw had Atlanta and Detroit trading down and 5 QBs going before the Panthers pick.

I honestly doubt it happens, but if Carolina could add Pitts at TE I would love to see what Rhule could do!

Ya, it's really what Atlanta wants to do.
    Jax - QB - Lawrence
    Jets - QB - Wilson
    SF - QB - Fields/Lance
    Atlanta - ?
    Cinci - Sewell
    Miami - Chase
Detroit - ? Maybe they trade down to Denver and they pick a QB (Denver picks Lance/Fields)

Really about what Atlanta and Detroit want to do for Panthers to get Pitts. I would love to see Pitts go to the Panthers as it'll likely be the best location for him for the long term. Atlanta with Matt Ryan, Julio, and Ridley would be just another weapon Matt Ryan throws too but likely wouldn't last long at strong fantasy production.

Yes, and if 49ers end up drafting Jones and leaving Fields and Lance I could definitely see teams trying to trade up to get one of those QBS.

The NFL analysts usually do a mock draft video of the first round.

I have tried finding it, but NFL.com has changed their website.

    Has anyone strolled across this?

Panthers trade Bridgewater to Broncos for a 6th round pick.

Carolina pays a portion of Bridgewaters deal

Denver has Lock and the No9 pick still.

    Interesting.

Are Panthers consider a QB at 8, or are they trying to make it look like they want a QB at 8 to try getting teams to trade up.

As a Panther fan I remember the last time they drafted 1.8 - it was Christian McCaffrey.

Panthers got Darnold and exercised his 5th yr option earlier in the offseason.

I think they want Pitts, or just BPA. Wouldn't be surprised at any player drafted at 8 for the Panthers.

I have heard that they have not exercised the 5th year option officially.

You're right, it's not official yet, but it doesn't sound like they won't be exercising it because they also said they'd do it for Moore and just haven't yet.

Okay perfect. I hope they do and don't waste all that future capital on him to draft a different QB.

Ya Panthers are in a good spot where if there's a QB still available (Lance or Fields if he drops) they can get a team to crazy over pay to trade up and get a massive haul.

Panthers have a young QB, young offense, and holes everywhere but massive holes really no where. They are in a solid position where they don't NEED to do anything

ESPN said they looked at all 25 times in the modern era where a team trades up to draft a QB in the 1st round, all 25 times the team trading up has grossly overpaid.
