I think Cam still has some good football to give, but needs better weapons than he was given last year ... and agree that Agholor is unlikely to be that kind of difference maker. Jonu Smith could be a good start though given NE's history of creatively using (and basically redefining) the TE position and Cam's history of success when with Greg Olsen.

Cam has typically gone inside out with his offense, so having a TE like Smith could work.

Patriots could go 9-7. They went 7-9 last yr. The issue was they had 0 talent so when they didn't show up to play, they got smoked, or the other way around, when the other team didn't show up to play they had a chance. They need 100% effort all the time on offense.

Their defense was solid, especially with missing so many top polayers on D, but that could have been the offsense just knowing their D could win games vs NE.

NE used up almost all their cap, and it was for non-flashy players really. Which means they have a plan.

Yep I've officially lost track of the NFL offseason. I'll be back on board in the fall.

Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith? Wow...Cam Newton must not be able to throw further than 10 yards any more.

Probably partly that, but also about as true as it comes to the tried and true Patriots style. Brady is Brady, but nobody did ever really figure out how to successfully defend the Gronkowski-Hernandez duo from years ago and even Brady was seen as a dink and dunk guy for a large part of his career as a result. Create consistent mismatches in the middle of the field and suddenly there's more room available for even lesser-tier WRs on the outside.

Think this is getting interesting now. What's old is new again in NE. Ball control and short passing mentality on offense coupled with a strong defense.

And then in 2023 they finally meet in the Super Bowl... it’s a tie game headed to overtime. During intermission, Antonio Brown tests positive for Covid-22, the NFL shuts down... and the question remains unanswered forever.

I feel like Antonio Brown would be removed from a game for another reason...

He is, but not one analyst I've heard has ever said anything good about him.
