Hoffman dropped
Hey guys.
Sort of goes along with a previous post......
2nd league in sig.
10 team league I have 6 waiver.
Mike Hoffman was dropped. And I'm wondering if I should be picking him up.
I was going to drop a D to bring back Benn when he comes back.......
But should I be bringing in Hoffman instead (for now)
Is he a better option than Fiala/Bjorkstrand/Dumba/Giordano moving forward?
I'll have decisions to make when Couturier gets healthy too, but that's for later.
For now..........is Hoffman worth a pick up?? Lots of people in this league panick dropping and I want to capitalize

Hoffman probably a pass. He is a very skilled player but not getting exposure to the better players in SL. 3rd line and 2nd pp I believe. That said, at some point he should get a sniff of Top PP duties where he is excellent. I see him as one of the best players on the team myself but again, opportunity depends on coach.

Nah.
He's like a can of Spam. High in protein (goals (maybe) which is important.
But if it doesn't mix well with the other ingredients (StL roster) then no one will eat it to get the potential results.
Might be a poor analogy but he's not very palatable at the moment compared to most of the other options you've listed. I'd wait it out.

I think a lot of players are better than Giordano at this point, including Hoffman. The idea is to get him while no one else wants him because once he starts chugging, he wont be around for long.

Axeman- that sort of where my head is at too, I do have some doubts though.
It's looking like Benn will be back tonight so I will use my Gio drop to bring him back in.
To get Hoffman I would need to drop one of my other skaters or a goalie.
Possibilities are - Bjorkstrand, Fiala (who I also nabbed off FA, Dumba, Bob

Practiced on L1 with Perron and O'Reilly. Played half of last game on that line as well.

I'd drop Giordano for him immediately.
Giordano is basically the equivalent of a streaming D this year.
