Criticize My Team

Post the GM of Evander Kane and Tkachuk's teams is possible and I could formulate an idea of how I would approach it. or at least the general weaknesses of their teams

Here they are, the Tkachuk's GMs have two of the strongest teams in our league.

Kane's GM:
C - Crosby, Kopitar, Toews(IR), Kuznetsov(IR)
W - Kane, Ritchie, Killorn, Keller, Kreider, Radulov, Farabee, Carrier, Pacioretty, Dadonov, Benn
D - Letang, McAvoy, Suter, Greene, Zaitsev, de Hann
G- Varlamov, Quick, Rinne, Hutton


B. Tkachuk's GM:
C - Aho, Bergeron, Eriksson Ek, Couturier (IR), Staal (IR)
W - B. Tkachuk, Marner, Huberdeau, Nugent-Hopkins, Wilson, Rakell, Crouse, Atkinson
D - Burns, Chychrun, Hughes, Hronek, Parayko, Brodie, DeAngelo, Lindell
G - Halak, Andersen, Binnington, Raanta


M. Tkachuk's GM:
C - Eichel, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Scheifele, Hischier(IR)
W - M. Tkachuk, Wheeler, Connor, Laine(IR), Martin, Simmonds, Eberle, Bennett, Reaves, Cozens
D - Nurse, Carlson, Larsson, Chara, Subban, Doughty

I'd love to grab a youngish but established power forward ie. B/M Tkachuk, Wilson, etc. But they're tough to come by, and the GMs who have them hold on tight. Would likely require a significant overpay. I was generally able to address my "toughness" through the draft, but would love to nail down a permanent keeper or two to fill that gap. Any thoughts on up-and-coming prospects to consider?

Honestly not really. There are very few prospects who offer that multi-cat upside that I could see displacing one of your keepers. You're young, full of offensive upside, and still have some bang with Svech/Hamilton.

Yes if you could swing a 2-for-1 swap for a Tkachuk more power to you. But I'm not biting based on the rosters those GMs have.

If I had to name a high-end prospect who I think will surprise people with his multi-cat contributions, it'd be Stuetzle. But I can't imagine he'd come cheap. (And no, I don't think Byfield, despite the frame, becomes a 'power-forward' in the traditional sense of HIT/PIM).

Sit and compete with the excellent team you've built this year, then once again look for some strategic picks in the draft. With SEA coming in, there's an even wider pool of multi-cat contributors to be drafting from next year.
