Not until I've seen how Laine fits in Columbus. Suzuki is looking good - I want more info how this new spot for Laine works out. Kase for Burkovsky would be a no for me. Why add that and muddy that waters?

    So:

    Suzuki and Kase

    for

    Laine and Burakovsky ?

If so I would say the Laine side wins.

In a goal heavy format I like Laine, and it’s not close in my opinion.

I moved it to the correct section, and I'd do that trade in this setup.

I would keep Sazuki. He's turning into a stud before our eyes. Laine can be amazing. But will he? A lot of folks are expecting a decrease in production with him moving to CBJ. And even if not, he's had consistency issues in past and some trouble staying healthy. I would definitely keep Sazuki for now. Sazuki is the real deal. I expect him to outscore Laine in many leagues. Not sure specifically about your league, but for this season at least, Sazuki for me. Probably at this point in keeper/dynasty too. Not that it matters to you specifically.

And it looks like your league counts 2 points for Assists and 2 points for goals. In that case, it's definitely Sazuki and not even close. Add to that Hits, which Sazuki seems to be getting and it's a no brainer for Sazuki IMO.

Just a thought, but when people hear "goal heavy" that usually means goals are worth more than assists. If goals are worth same as assists, it's not exactly goal heavy. But even more so, if there is no distinction between G/A and they are worth the same points, I would even consider not worrying at all about goals and get guys who rack up assists. They generally come cheaper and are easier to get. But also, they often score goals as well. So really what you should be looking for is simply guys with highest point totals who also can provide some of those peripherals like Hits and Blocks.

So in this case SAZUKI. Hands down. And I would even try to trade away other goal scorers who don't put up huge point totals in exchange for higher point totals with maybe less goals. Meaning guys like Olofson, Kase etc.... I would be trying hard to move. It only might be worth keeping the heavier goal scorers if they add a lot of HIT like Palmieri. But even then, I would look for higher point totals with those hits instead. Guys like JT Miller maybe, Wheeler etc.... Heck, I think I would even try moving Forsberg, because he doesnt put up huge point totals and his hits are moderate but not outstanding. I would want a guy like Landeskog, Huberdeau for instance, Marchand, Elias Lindholm, Kopitar, Svechnikov, Aho, Barzal, Kaprizov, etc....

I am BIG believer in Suzuki. I’m not downgrading Laine too much but I think he was definitely more valuable in WPG. Suzuki got better all season last year, and then as a flyers fan I got to watch him create a scoring chance pretty much every time he touched the puck in the playoffs last year. Now he is carrying that over into this season and looking even better. He won’t put up as many goals as Laine (or maybe he could as their stud?) but he will rack up the assists and they’re just as meaningful in your format. But on the Laine side, he may now be a focal point so my take on him being more valuable in WPG could be wrong. He will put up more shots for suds though. I’m interested to see how well he performs with his new team.

Answer to me really is this:

Suzuki - Less risk, Less reward

Laine - High risk, Higher Reward

Personally, I go for high risk, higher reward. If he gets to form then he will help much more in winning a championship.

Edit: Looking further into it, Laine all the way. Way more proven and way higher potential, IMO.
