9th out 10. 30 points back already

I am currently 9th of 10. I'm already 30 points back of first.

Leader's team:
F - Crosby, Marchand, Scheifele, Stone, Ehlers, Perron, tatar, Rust
D - Krug, DeAngelo, Chabot, Suter,
G - Marsktrom, Binnington

Slow start for my guys. I guess a couple big nights and I could be right back in it. Last year this happened and the consensus was I was cooked.

I can't do drops, and trades are unheard of.
Judging my roster, is there any hope??

True, but last year I fell behind early, I think I was 40 points back at the end of October and quite a few people here said I was done. So I see where this is heading.

You can't freak out about week 1. Consensus about my draft last year around here was that I wasn't going to win. Mistakes were indeed made by me, and despite losing week 1, I wound up winning the pool.

You have some very strong players here and I wouldn't assume you are "done" by any stretch. Might not be a 1st place team but it's too early to say. I do wonder about Lafreniere as one of your 8 forwards in a 10-team one-year league though.

Last round of the draft, picked him when I should have taken Olofsson, Hertl or Fiala or any other player really. It was a dumb gamble. (dropped Skinner and Strome for Hertl and Fiala later)
