Thoughts on him moving forward, and his outlook in points based leagues? I know the name a little, but can’t say I’ve really watched him play, just saw some highlights.

He's quickly moving up the ranks in CBJ and there's clearly a need down the middle for the Jackets. He's averaging more icetime per game than Domi is if I am not mistaken (and more points too).

Do a search. Lots of threads already asking the same question.

What a move in the shootout by him tonight. Never seen anything quite like it. It was almost like Kuch's fake shot but he kind of pushed it through the five hole.

Texier is not in the dog house. Big changes up front for CBJ and it will take some time for the lines to shake out. Texier, IMO, remains positioned for top six deployment.

Yep I don't see things changing for him. He just keeps impressing.

So just to bring this up because not seeing much discussed still getting 4th line mins. I get that he’s still very young and not gonna just get 20 mins a night but he was seriously producing before the trade and getting the time. Has something changed? Or is he just not the shinny new toy anymore

I still think he's the #1 centre of the future in Columbus; his ceiling is higher than either Roslovic's or Domi's (he's not even being used a C right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if Columbus was looking to unload Domi and his contract right now). But as you said, he's very young and still learning the position (which is why we sometimes see him deployed on the wing, especially when he was getting PP time). He's also, like everyone else on the team, subject to Tortorella's whims, though Texier did fail to capitalize on the changes he was given with Laine after the trade. I suspect they're just riding the hot hand right now, and if Roslovic slows down or Texier picks things up, they could easily flip-flop in the lineup.

I dropped him a while back, but my fingers are itching to pick him up again, because the potential is just so appealing.

Thanks so much for the comment makes me hopeful. He was a piece in a trade I made this summer moving out R.thomas so seeing him take off early on was amazing. However seeing him disappearing now got me wondering.
