McDavid - Needing some trade help

Asking for some thoughts on an offer I received for McDavid.

OGM has offered Marner , Connor , (Point or Scheifele ) for McDavid.

Currently my keepers are McDavid , Vasilevskiy , Panarin , Malkin , Marchand , Hall

yes, Point/Marner/Connor. Keep those 3 plus Panarin/Vas/Marchand.

Since I received the offer, I made it known that McDavid “could” be had for the right return. Will see where it goes.

I'd say yes, then trade off your 2 weakest keepers in the off season. That's a solid return. (Pick Point).

Other offers, Matthews, Kucherov, Ovechkin straight up (not all together), to get anything additional I was asked to add Panarin or Marchand or Vasilevskiy.

McDavid’s 3 pts last night gives me pause, however Marner had 2 so there’s that.

If I accept this offer it gives me a good group to pick 6 keepers plus some assets to try and upgrade.

It's a little closer when you look at it that way, but you're getting younger and more reliable, and you also need to factor in the assets you'll be able to obtain when trading away Malkin & Hall.

Is there any way you could package up malkin and Hall or one of them and your next worst keeper for one of Point or Connor? Maybe this isn't the best idea, but it seems pretty close in the end and you are giving up the best player by a not massive but very clear margin

There’s no way he’s moving any of Marner, Connor, Point for any of my roster unless McDavid is involved. I’ve tried.
I’d be over the moon if I could move 2 for Marner alone.

I like it tbh

it lets you upgrade a couple of keepers (Malkin and Hall are great when they are healthy but how often is that these days?). Marner and Point are 90-point threats and still young. Connor is probably the go-to-guy now in Winnipeg. I think you will more than make up for the loss of McDavid here

I was definitely set last night, then McDavid’s three point night = cold feet

I think it makes me stronger for the season:
2C Point, Malkin , 2LW Panarin, Connor , 2RW Marner , stream, 1Ut Hall, Marchand
It also gives me Marchand, Malkin, Hall to try and get another good RW and perhaps upgrade Letang, Barrie

That is a good offer, but does it actually help you this year? In a start 6F league, how much depth do you really need? Isn’t quality over quantity better in your format?
