I guess the consensus in a limited keeper is to build a strong (6) in our case. Ideally if I could upgrade Malkin and Hall and not move McDavid would be the way to go.
There is very little trading of top tier players in our league so consolidating keepers is difficult.
Whenever I approach another GM they want McDavid, Vasilevskiy or Panarin included, sometimes all three.
Thus the dilemma, accept the trade and have a couple assets to try and improve my keepers.
Or keep McDavid, Vasilevskiy, Panarin. Then use Hall, Marchand and Malkin in an attempt to turn those three into two better keepers.
A couple GM’s just don’t reply to offers or even discussion about trade potential. Which eliminates a good half dozen or so of top tier players to go after.
