It's his hometown so i do think he stays if theyre willing to play and pay him.

Then the two defensemen in the video abandoned the system. I can't imagine any system that tells a defenseman to leave his position in order to make an extra hit. Again, I am not excusing Laine, and his 0 effort was pitiful there, but the two D made brutal plays which, in my estimation, led directly to the scoring chance and contributed more heavily to the goal. I'd have given them both a good talking to after those plays.

This is absolutely correct. Laine's effort is poor, and nothing excuses that, but Laine doesn't even deserve 1/5 of the blame on either play.

This is how it should go. Laine was a whiner about getting traded but he didn't quit on his teammates. DuBois was a whiner and a quitter. The Jets a reaping what they've karmically sown.

Advice: Dubois made it through a full practice and he will see how he feels tomorrow before deciding if he plays on Sunday night versus Vancouver. He has missed the last four games due to a lower-body injury.

PLD on the wing isn't a surprise really. He has openly said he's comfortable playing any of the three forward positions so it only makes sense to keep Stastny as 2C for the time being to see how this works out.

Thursday's contest will be Pierre-Luc Dubois' second straight game as a left winger on a line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.

Advice: Dubois had two goals and an assist on Sunday, so it's not surprising that the Jets are keeping that line together. He has typically played as a center, but the Jets recently made the switch and he seems fine with it. “It didn’t take any convincing, really,” Dubois said. “I don’t know exactly how long I’ll be there. If, hopefully, we keep having good games and maybe I stay there for the rest of the year. Who knows?”

Agreed. I can't hold him much longer as an extra C, as I have 4 C's already in this league and he is the weakest link.

Unfortunately last game he was the second line centre so I don't know if he will get that LW designation any more. And since Winnipeg won they will likely keep these new lines for a while. Damn it.
