Bobrovsky

What is everyones thoughts here on Bobrovsky? Is he worth going after in a league with the following settings:

12 H2H Dynasty:
Skaters: G/A/+-/PIM/PPP/SHP/SOG/HTS
Goalies: W/GAA/SV%/SO
Daily: 3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, W, FWD, SKT, 5 D, 2 G

My current goalies are: Rinne, Halak, Georgiev
Farm goalies: Vladar, Delia, Driedger

I was offered him for Brock Nelson and not sure how I feel about it after last year and the first game of this year. I obviously need help in net just not sure Bob is the guy to go after

No one knows what to think of Bobrovsky. Is he going to bounce back? Is he just not suited to the Panthers system? Is he the next Bryzgalov? I would not seek him out unless its a bit of a crazy buy low.

I'm not making that trade if I'm you, and I kept Bob this year -- mostly because he's been better more often than not so I'm playing averages. But I'm not trading a 50-point forward for a question mark.

With no cap and no stud in net, I think I would take my chances on Bob, unless you think Nelson would net you a better goalie. I really doubt if you tried to get a better goalie in season you could do much better. I'd roll the dice - you aren't losing a superstar in Nelson. I also think if you acquire Bob and he doesn't do what you want, he holds trade value and could be traded again as soon as he has a stretch of good games. It's always hard to tell what the trade market is like in another person's league - does this feel like a fair offer to you or not?

I actually just joined the league this year so still trying to feel that out. Right now it seems a little steep but its still a question mark with this league. Probably going to counter with something less and see what happens.

Yep good call, if theyre willng to trade a starter in season and not demanding a starter back they are obviously pretty intent on moving him, so I'd see what he says if you offer a slightly lesser player.

You could try Granlund, Schmaltz, RSmith, guys like that. To me thats worth the price of a potential stud goalie....if he ever figures it out in Florida.

I definitely prefer Nelson to those guys you listed, so give that a shot.
