likely Wennberg and Glass. I am building for 2022 with hopes of drafting Wright. so I was planning on trading DeAngelo for a higher draft pick. Do Strom and Farabee get me better picks back down the road?

I moved DeAngelo after the 1st game of the season. I think he's a hot potato right now. Don't get stuck. And I love Farabee long term. DeAngelo I don't think will repeat last seasons success. And I don't think DeAngelo will be with the Rangers 3 seasons from now. They won't have any PP minutes for him at that point and he needs PP minutes to be fantasy relevant. DeAngelo will eventually have to move to a different team, with far less D men contending for PP than the Rangers will have. Add on top of that DeAngelo's attitude/temper issues and I think it's a no brainer. I fully expect that DeAngelo's fantasy value will be substantially lower at the end of this season than it is right now. And I honestly don't think his value will return to what it probably is now until he moves to a different team that gives him the lions share of the PP. I say, move him before you lose all that value.
