Guys, please get back to the topic at hand (fantasy hockey). The conservative audience on this forum certainly doesn’t need a lesson on “freedom of speech”. If this were Twitter or Facebook, this entire conservation would be censored by now.

personality aside, I see no reason why Tony DeAngelo couldn't get traded in a 10-team league. The guy finished 4th or something among defensemen in scoring last season. Being in the doghouse for a couple of games might lower his value, but you should be able to get SOMETHING back for him. Shop, shop, shop.

I feel like I'm a 15 year-old kid asking his slowly divorcing parents whether I can stay out at a party past curfew. I may be showing my age here, but I am also picturing wood paneling on the walls, the smell of burnt fondue, and the ominous sounds of Fleetwood Mac playing in the background.

I dealt Logan Couture this summer when he made those stupid comments and I felt so good doing it. There are some things in life bigger than your fantasy hockey league.
I've been too slow to pawn off DeAngelo to another team, can't get rid of him as other managers are throwing his 2 game benching back in my face. I'll have to bide my time.

You may hate his guts but don't let him also screw you in fantasy hockey too. If you want to rid yourself of a player that's perfectly fine but personally I would hesitate to try to move DeAngelo right now. We all know he is going to get a shot somewhere and rip it up. I would be careful about the timing.

If you want to talk politics, we have a section here on the forums for that. Head there to debate that crap. You're in the hockey section so keep the political rhetoric out of it or I'll just lock the thread all together and be done with it.

Doghouse or not, this guy is an NHLer, and should be owned.

Game 1 was due to disciplinary reason, Game 2 was because they won Game 1. He'll get in the lineup soon.

    Edited to remove the noise.

That bein said, I think Tony has the game breaking skill set to be a top offensive D man on any team; if it doesn't happen in NYR then it will happen somewhere else. This season may be a write off though cuz the Rangers probably got one of those self righteous Tony haters in management.. then again it could be a light show if he chooses to use it play with a chip and focus on his game.

His value is probably the lowest it will be; I would hold; especially if I'm not contending this year.

    Buy low on DeAngelo

If you're adding moral judgment to fantasy (ie not real) hockey decisions then maybe you should drop the hobby and get into real coaching. The only thing that matters here is whether or not he's playing and how much he can contribute. When you own a player you own his statistical contributions. Has nothing to do with the person.

This thread is a great example of why I've been spending more time elsewhere to talk hockey in recent months
