I don’t think I pull the trigger on that in a 20 team dynasty league. Depth is super important. We roster 40 players per squad

Connor is on a short-list of favourites to win the Rocket Richard trophy. I would place only Matthews and Ovechkin ahead of him were I setting the odds.

So are we still on the Connor>Kaprizov wagon? Considering Kaprizov has more points than Connor with less help around him?? In his first year in the NHL...

I mean it's super close, I think everyone knew Kaprizov was/is the real deal but I'd probably take Kaprizov over Connor now.

I thought that Connor had a down year in terms of TOI (-2:00 from his average) and that a SH% of 17.8 may be high for Kaprizov or could be his norm we just don't know. If league stats are G heavy I might still lean Connor.

That being said I would listen to the argument that Connor had softer matchups playing in the North so with Minnesota playing less of VGK/COL Kaprizov could be in for higher point totals to make up for a potential drop in SH%. And he even scored a ppg pace against those two teams. Plus you factor in another year in the NHL, Rossi coming into the fold, I think it adds up he will outpoint Connor next year.

Tough call, I don’t think you can really go wrong with either guy. Kaprizov is looking to be the real deal and likely going to get better, and Connor is one of the best goal scorers in the league.

I would probably go with Kaprisoz because he still has some upside potential yet to go

Connor had a down year with the Jets struggling. They are close in age, and I will back the pony that has more years of success in the NHL. Also the fact one is Russian scares me.

    I am still backing Kyle.

i like Connor slightly more but im not sure you go wrong with either...only issue with Kaprizov is that sample size is shorter..but that would also mean that there is more room to improve. I think it would be easier to determine who is better between the two at the end of next year.

Looked back to see what I posted. Kaprizov did what I thought was unlikely so i would say they are roughly even now.
