Kaprizov or Connor?

I love KK, but I think the hype is getting a little crazy. I wouldn't doubt if pt/gm is now Connor's floor moving forward.
I do believe KK is a pt/gm player, but will he get there THIS year? and does he have more than that?

Personally, I think in 2yrs you'll still be able to trade KK for Connor but not the other way around.

I think Kaprizov. But it’s hard to tell after so few games. Connor is great. But Kap to me looks like he could be elite. And I wouldn’t exactly say Connor is elite. Just a smidge or so below. But he can always still jump another level.

But Kap to me kind of looks like he could reach that Laine, top 30 type tier. Based on skill and what I’ve been able to catch.

Connor definitely safer option at the moment though.

Well, it's specifically dynasty in this case. And sometimes, in my experience, in that format, taking the guy who you think has the higher ceiling, specific to your league, is the way to go. Especially if you think there is a high likelihood of them reaching that success (ie the difference between KK and Holtz or Kravtsov or someone). I wouldn't take KK over Connor in redrafts. And I wouldn't take KK over a guy like Connor who actually produced higher fantasy value and not just points, like say Wheeler. But if I think KK has a higher ceiling than Connor, and think maybe KK will produce in some peripherals also, which Connor does not at all, I would take KK in dynasty.

I'd go Connor here as well. Kaprizov looks amazing in such a short sample, but Connor is playing with better players right now.

Connor has a higher ceiling than Kaprizov. Kaprizov's peripherals in the KHL were very minimal as well (hit and block totals right around 20 for all three seasons with CSKA). His shooting % averaged out to around 17-18%. In the KHL. Connor's is at about 15.5. In the NHL. I'd wager they end up close on that. BUT - Kaprizov averaged about 125 shots per season in the KHL (62 games). Connor has been averaging close to 225. That's a lot more goals. They are close to the same age - Connor is 4 months older. Kaprizov has a weaker supporting cast right now and for at least a few years. They are both elite level players. But Connor is the only one thus far with elite shot numbers. That puts him in front there. And Connor is more of a known NHL quantity. Kaprizov looks great. But how will he fare in game 70 of an 82 game schedule? He'll probably be fine...but we don't know. Connor for me.

This is a tough one for me. I've been beating the Kaprizov drum for a while but I've been beating the Connor drum louder. Kyle Connor will lead the Jets in scoring. He is an elite offensive talent and is still growing. I bet this ends up being pretty close, but I see Connor with 90 pt potential and I see Kaprizov as about the same ceiling. I just think trajectory dictates Connor will hit it sooner and likely has more certainty to hit it.

Because he will be a ppg player this year with shitty linemates compared to connor who has great linemates, Imagine once he gets better linemates(Rossi, Boldy etc). Panarin level. He’s literally playing with a mix of Victor Rask, Bjustad etc at Centre and keeps producing and driving the play.
