Default Pettersson vs jack hughes this year and long term

Who you got one for this year and long term?

G A PTS PPP SOG FOW HITS BLK

Is pettersson that good when counting multicat leagues? He locks as a C but has no FOW. Is this something he’ll get better at and eventually do 400-500 fow on a full season?

Hughes seems to find his groove this year so far and has LW eligibility. But long term is he worth more than pettersson?

Both elite players. Long term I think I take Hughes.

I would have been certain it was Pettersson prior to watching the Devils v Rangers game that just ended. But Hughes has truly taken it to another level. I think he still has another level to go to reach Pettersson. But now I am not so sure who has the higher ceiling. I guess I would still say EP for now. A shame Hischier is out. Curious to see that 1,2 punch up the middle. Prob could end up rivaling Pettersson, Horvat. All though, I would honestly love to see Hughes and Hischier on the same line, one on the wing obviously, probably Hughes. When they get Holtz and maybe eventually Mercer, they could have some serious firepower.

Hughes if he can keep LW eligibilty, unless Pettersson's faceoffs improve to the point he's taking a lot if you count FOW.

I prefer Hughes this year, due to LW in your league. EP the rest of the way, unless Hughes becomes a wing who takes faceoffs long term.

It's funny how many are jumping back on the JHughes train after jumping off it at the end of last year. Good to see.

This is a tough one. I think as long as Hughes keeps his LW designation, I would look at him long term but if he's taking a ton of draws and primarily playing center, the chances he keeps that LW spot will disappear. Short term, I still think Pettersson is the better option. A lot of kids struggle coming into the league with FOWs but if they are willing to work at it, they can and will get better. Look at McDavid. I dont know what he did this past off-season, but his FOWs are up dramatically this year compared to previous years. He's currently at 56% winning and he's never been over 50% for his career. I think Pettersson can get better at winning FOs if he truly wants to.

I dont think there's a wrong answer here. For me, I think I'd want Pettersson long term.

With Petterson i think as he gets strong he face offs will improve, also lots of practice. For me Peterson, but he on my team so i hope so. Hope he reaches elite level.

Vancouver coach is not even letting him opportunities for faceoff. Its JT miller doing them and then they switch back.

I hope yahoo designs him LW eligibility this year. He is killing my league at the moment due to taking a C spot with no peripherals or FW.
