Brock Boeser in Dynasty, Sell b4 it's too late?

So, I have been really racking my brain trying to decide if I should trade Boeser now with the fear that he just isn't the player I thought he was or that he looked like his first 2 years or so. Well, really I am not sure what he will be or is. But with the way the previous 2 seasons have gone I am getting very worried. If he continues down this path his value will continue to drop. Of course he could always have a great year and become the player he looked like he would become early on.

So basically, is it too soon to try to move Boser in a dynasty for something moderately valuable? Not sure what an undersell/oversell would look like. A huge Canucks fan in my league had ZERO interest in him, which surprised me. But if he's such a big Vancouver fan and down on Boeser, it got me even more concerned.

What's everyone's thoughts on Boeser? What level, type of winger would you try to trade him for? Would Boeser for Stuetzle not be enough? Really am confused about this one and Boeser himself.

If I’m reading your roster correctly, you can use Lindholm at RW to replace Boeser if you moved him. If someone offers you a prospect the caliber of Stuetzle then I’d take that.

Yea. Have Lindholm and some other RW eligibles. With Boeser, I am mostly just concerned about value really. Feel like I am playing hot potato with him. Of course I say that and he'll go off for a 30/30 season after I trade him. lol. But I haven't seen much the past 2 seasons that makes me feel good about taking that risk while he's still worth a fair amount in trade I guess.

I've always believed that Boeser is a stud on the right side. It's never been a question of his ability. It's his ability to stay healthy that scares me away from him. Sure, there might be seasons he can stay healthy for most of it and put up solid numbers, but I worry that he will spend more time not being healthy. I don't know what to tell you. I normally say let the talent ride and pray for health but I find myself going against my own advice when it comes to Boeser for some reason.

If you can get something studly for Boeser, I am certainly not against it.

Boeser is healthy right now and he looks fine. The team and PP are just cold. Pettersson hasn't really started racking up points yet. JT Miller was out for the first three or four games. They're in a tough division where they just aren't going to pop off every night.

Brock is the top scoring option on his team. Line 1, PP1. Unless he gets hurt again, he's a great option to own IMO.

Wait till he gets hot. you'll increase your return. If you held for 2+ years a few more weeks will not hurt.

And yea, thats what I was thinking. He's impossible to sell when injured and unfortunately, injured often.

Yup. 17-18 he played 62 games, 18-19 69 games, 19-20 57 games, then 9 games 16-17 and 17 games post season. 4 games so far this season. So he's never played more than 69 games in 3 full seasons. Which I find a bit worrisome. He's a bit below point per for his career. 163 points in 201 games. I thought he would end up being about a point per game player after his rookie season success. His production really isn't bad though. If he could play a full season that'd be pretty good production. But still a bit less than I think he should be producing next to Elias and with JT on the opposite side now. With his talent at least, on a line like that, I would hope to get about point per game out of my winger. He has legit 40/40 talent IMO. But between the injuries and whatever other issues, he never seems to quite get there. The real worry is that he eventually gets dropped down to the 2nd line and they move someone like Hoglander up to the first line. Boeser getting dropped to a 2nd line though would likely hurt his production further. All though some of his best production did come playing with Horvat, so tough to know. But I do think of Hoglander spent 3 seasons playing on their top line, he would eventually be putting up point per game type numbers. At least the way Hoglander looks right now.

In that he wouldn't have broken out before this? Yea he certainly still can make another jump in level. Well, I guess that's what I am wondering, if there is anything more there than we've seen the first 3 years. Where he's been good with some inj problems that derailed him a bit. I'm not sure if there's another level there or not though.

If you are able check out the fantasy guide for some info on the breakout threshold. Yes Boeser has shown to be injury prone, but now is not the time to trade him. Based on the number of games he’s played in the NHL, his talent, and his situation he is primed (if healthy) for a really good year.
