Who is your untouchable prospect...

This year was a rebuilding year for me so i went with a lot of younger players. I am not sure if I will hold onto all of them, but I have players like Kaprizov (no brainer), Rossi, Perfetti, J Robertson, N Robertson, Ty Smith...

Who are the players you feel are can't miss and you want, or have, on your team? Any of my draftees you think are too soon to grab? I am sort of playing for next year (got Seguin cheap for example..)

Right now, in a couple of my leagues, Shesterkin is someone I am not looking to trade.

I've traded many of my "Not gonna move them" prospects over the years in order to try (and usually succeed I may add!) and win.
But as of right now, I have Shesty and Sorokin that I am loathe to move, in a 12 team league that starts 2 goalies, and most teams will carry three through the season, having cheap, young goalies who can actually contribute is gold, especially seeing as how the better starters ie; Andersson, Price, Rask, Markstrom all go for bonkers money at auction.

I've also held onto Kap through the last 3-4 years -.- (god that wait was horrible) ended up trading off other prospects through the years (Boeser, Suzuki, Podkolzin etc

Kaprizov, Stutzle, Byfield, Shesterkin and Sorokin are the one's I'd be very reluctant to trade from my roster. I also really like Gunler, so he'd be hard for me to let go. I'm probably overvaluing him, I just really like him haha.

Outside of the obvious of course like Kakko, Lafreniere, Hughes and Hughes, Byfield, Zegras, Dach etc... Shesterkin, Romanov, Foudy, Kravtsov, Hoglander, McMichael, Tomasino, Bouchard, Nils Lundqvist, Ty Smith, Robertson, Pelletier, Harley, Holtz, KAndre Miller, are some of the guys I would NOT be looking to trade away unless it was an awesome deal. Like I just got offered Nick Suzuki for my Tomasino, Vince Dunn and late round 2021 1st round pick which I am thinking of accepting. Even though I REALLY don't want to give up Tomasino, Nuck Suzuki is displaying the type of play that I would HOPE for Tomasino. And since he's all ready doing it and Tomasino might still bust, I am ok giving up a late 1st rounder in addition for that guaranteed YOUNG player. All though I am not 100% certain either. LOL. Which is why I included a link to that deal below if you could please give me your opinion about it. THANKS!

Peyton Krebs for me.

("Untouchable", for me - is more when I feel like I'm just way more in love with a prospect than anybody else in my league. Which means, the offers are going to be so far underwhelming to where I see this guy that I'd just rather put up a sign that says "DONT ASK" - and that word is "Untouchable". Two years ago that guy was Robert Thomas. Glad.I.held. I agree with others that players shouldn't be "untouchable" - but I do use that phrase when I think the general public of GMs underappreciates where I see my guys headed. I just get tired of having shitty trade offers - so I'll call them "untouchable". Jack Hughes, for example, is way undervalued by most fantasy non-owners these days. If I owned him, which I do in one league... he'd be "Untouchable".)

As for Krebs... VGK has some delicious wingers that can finish.

In one 31-team league I'm in, I'm rebuilding and there's lots of people coming knocking right as the players start to develop and get a taste of NHL action. I was this patient, so yeah, a lot of them are essentially untouchable...as in, I'm not about to trade a prospect for a 28-year-old guy that will have peaked when my other prospects are just about ready to start rolling in their NHL careers.

Right now that's guys like Vilardi (man am I glad I was patient there and didn't sell low), Tomasino, Podkolzin (getting nervous on him but I'm not selling low), Jan Jenik, Kirill Marchenko, Kaliyev, Farabee, Comtois, Turcotte, and Fabbro. Even a couple guys I got this year I want to see how they pan out -- Quinn & Mercer.

There's others I'm less attached to but don't see a pressing need to move them either. We run essentially a full squad; 12 forwards, 6 defense, 2 goalies. 31 of us. In a league this size and this deep, I would have to do a complete overhaul and move everyone to be competitive, somehow stay under the cap, and even that would likely result in a middle-of-the-pack team unless I hit home runs on every trade. Frankly I'd be worried I'd only make it halfway toward that goal, run out of trades to make, and get stuck with a weird mess of a team.

Sometimes you gotta stick to the plan. Obviously there's exceptions to every rule but I'd need a real good offer to move many of these guys

It would be hard for me to trade Kyle Connor as he's one of my favorite players.

On my friend's team, I'm jealous of Kaprizov. He looks awesome and I love the way he plays.
