Kuemper available, who to drop?

Hey folks,

Kuemper was dropped in my one year league. I figure he is at least a marginally better option than my current 2 goaltenders. We only have 1 goalie spot on the roster (and 2 bench positions), so carrying 3 goalies doesn't make much sense. I will likely make a waiver bid for Kuemper. If successful, I will likely monitor the Penguins goalie situation for a bit, then decide on either trading or dropping Jarry or Gibson. If anyone disagrees with this strategy, let me know.

I am mainly posting to get advice on who is most droppable from my roster of skaters, I think the decision is between Gusev, Hoglander and Niederreiter.

I picked up Nino and Hoglander based on their lineup roles right now. I am tempted to drop Gusev, given he's playing 2nd line with Zacha, and through the first 2 games he is seeing the least ice time out of those 3 players. However, Hoglander (or even Nino) might be the wiser player to drop over the long term, seeing as Gusev is the only one who is assured to get lots of PP1 time (and he may be reunited w Hughes when Hischier returns). Would be curious to hear folks' thoughts. Feel free to suggest a player other than these 3 too (Duclair also comes to mind, but that top line/first PP deployment is very enticing right now).

sorry but my first question runs to you are only running 3 defense with a 4 d positions? i feel like that alone is leaving tons of stats on the table and should be addressed before goalies.

back to your question with goals being valued at 4 and sog .45 i wouldnt drop gusev. he is starting slow but his advanced stats are very good from last year. alot of promise that should click sooner than later. however i dont know that he will line up with huges or nico when he comes back because the zacha, wood, gusev line was very good to end last season.

i would drop nieder to make that move. HOWEVER kuemper could see himself in a timeshare with Raanta.

With only 2 Bench slot It's probably better running only 3 Def.

Yeah, it's relatively rare I have a full slate of games with my forwards, so I figure there's slightly more value in carrying an extra forward than a 4th D. I actually just dropped Slavin today. Might go back to 4 D if I find myself having to bench forwards more often, he and Subban are the best available in the FA pool for D right now.
