Great team names

A couple of years ago I started a thread about creative team names. At that time in our league we had Tyutin in the Staal, Marleau and Me, and a few other good ones. I think my favorite that someone shared in response was, "Hanzal and Gretzel".

We have an owner who is a Caps fan and a creative genius. Last year his team name was Coke in my Kuzy. Simply awesome. (If you followed the news about Kuznetzov's drug issue.) It's hard to top that, but this year his team name is "Not Well N. Dowd". That just might be more awesome. I used Oshie Can You See, Eller High Water and I Vrana Be Sedated in the last two years. But last night the guy was texting me a stream of names right off the top of his head. Caps fans, here are some of them for your enjoyment.

Not sure if I was part of that thread, but my team name one year was very similar to that one: Hanzal and Getzel, as I had both Hanzal and Getzlaf on my squad. I usually choose a team name based on players and a horror film (or similarly themed).

Thanks. It's hard work and I have a reputation to uphold! Ha! Sometimes it's tempting to use the same names to be lazy, which I have done on occasion.
