Default I didn't keep Kucherov, am I crazy? (Also rate my draft)

Team in SIG. I had to choose between:
Matthews, Laine, Guentzel, Josi, Rielly, Andersen, Wheeler, and Kucherov

I could keep 6 players going into the draft, and the bolded ones were the ones I decided to keep. I originally had Kuch penciled in as a keeper and was going to let Rielly go, but last second I changed my decision and Kuch is gone.

2 years ago average fantasy points per game: Rielly: 5.35 / Kucherov 7.5
last years average fantasy points per game: Rielly: 4.0 / Kucherov 6.6

So its a trade off of about 2-2.5 fantasy points per game, but ones a D and the other is a winger. If Rielly can produce like he did two seasons ago the difference can be a lot less and who knows if Kucherov comes back the exact same player he left?

I think my teams good enough to win this year, and I kinda made the decision on a whim. When Kucherov got drafted first overall in the draft it made me think maybe I made a mistake.. (LOL)

Anyways... Here's my picks in a 12 team keeper league. I think I had a really strong draft, and I think I'm poised to win it all this year.

    1. (10) Ilya Samsonov G
    2. (34) Filip Forsberg LW
    3. (35) Charlie McAvoy D
    4. (46) Mark Giordano D
    5. (58) Jonathan Marchessault C,LW
    6. (70) Kirill Kaprizov LW
    7. (82) Jakub Vrana LW
    8. (94) Logan Couture C
    9. (98) Sergei Bobrovsky G
    10. (118)Nicklas Backstrom C

Obviously hard to tell without more context but other than McAvoy(please get PP1) I think I got some good picks in some good places.

I likely would have kept Kucherov and held him for a year (or trade him if this was an option pre draft). I agree that McAvoy is a reach and other than Hits will not help you in the "other" categories. Also keep an eye on Gio as his deployment may be changing. Your other picks I really like (Kaprizov that late is looking really good).

With Daily line up changes I would look to grab another D as will get your Games Played up (nights where you are not able to play all forwards and you have empty slots on D). Who are the top D available on the wire - depending on who is available I would drop Atkinson and pick a D up.

i would have kept kuch and let rielly go. but what's done is done, i don't necessarily think atkinson is primed for a bounce back so he'd be my first to go

Yeah it really was a blunder to let Kucherov go. Idk what I was thinking. Especially in a 12 team league.

I also thought McAvoy would get the PP1, and its looking like he wont.

I actually dropped Atkinson and grabbed Dadanov for tonight. However I will drop him tomorrow for a D.

Available D are: Grzelzyk, Gustaffson, Muzzin, Chychrun, Shattenkirk, Cernak, Toews, Hronek, Keith

I would grab Grzelyk out of that list (or possibly Cernak). Give it a few games to see what shakes out in Boston and ten decide if additional moves are needed. Are you limited in moves (weekly/season) if you are you will need ot be cautious about burning up your moves early on.

As earlier said, what done is done but I would've kept Kucherov. I helped a buddy do a 5 man keeper draft and he had 9th pick in the first round. He was able to snag Kuch at 9th as someone else dropped him too in a keep 5, so don't feel too bad.
I would go with Grz too but I saw Shattenkirk is on Top PP along with Hronek and Adam Boqvist in Chicago, Cernak only if you want to pick up hits.
