Yeah. How long a leash do I give him? If he doesn't work his way into the top 6 by what game?

With only 4 moves you have to wait here. COVID is going to wreak havoc on the league so I am surprised your commish didn't come up with an adjustment there.

If anything...Skinner for Suzuki is a move I'd make. But again, you're going to be missing multiple players for weeks at a time so it's best to save the moves for COVID related issues.

Someone smarter than me will have to answer this. It's tough without bench space and Skinner may hurt you (with his current deployment). I'd give it a couple of games and pay attention to the lines.

Oh I will. Don't want make a knee-jerk move, but don't want to go too long with dead-weight on the team. Skinner was pegged as 3rd line going in and I thought he would find his way into the top 6 and top PP, but he started on the 4th line. I should have known better. He is going to kill me.

Hold Lafreniere, he should work his way up the lineup on merit.

Skinner yeah you can replace him whenever you think is best. Sucks to burn a move so early though, maybe give it a week just in case. Sabres may want to shake things up if they lose a few games early on.

There are a number of names on that list I’d have taken over Strome, Skinner, and Lafreniere. You must be a Rangers fan...

Im just surprised there's that much talent left undrafted, even in a 10 team league. 10 teams, 8 forwards per team and somehow that list of guys isn't good enough to be in the top 80 forwards??? Scary.

In a normal season, I am not dropping anyone until a month (roughly) has gone by and the dust has settled. This season will be a tad different so I'd still wait a couple weeks (probably after three) before I am making any choices on drops. If you drafted this team, you did so for a reason and didn't draft others for a reason so give your draft a chance. I might look at it differently if you had unlimited moves, but that's not the case.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

I'm dropping Skinner long before Laf. I would give Laf a good amount of time, at least 15 games. Definitely not dropping him after one.

About half the options you listed are better than Skinner. I would give it a week or two to let one of those FAs sort of breakout. There's a lot of high risk, high reward guys in there like Suzuki, Hughes, Domi who could end up being top 25 point guys in the right circumstances, plus some safer bets in Hertl, Oshie, Couture, etc.

Dropping Skinner is a no brainer, but I would be patient in making sure you use you limited Adds properly. Monitor those guys for a few games before rushing into a decision. It's 2 days into the season.

Looks that way but no that's just the way the draft worked out. I only took Strome for the combo with Panarin. Bought the hype on Shesterikin, and got sucked in by another first overall rookie in Laf. I took Hughes last year and got burned.
    One Year. 11 teams. Points only. G=1. A=1. GWG=1. W=2. SO=3

Yeah with only 4 moves you gotta wait here IMO. Otherwise I'd be grabbing the hot hand and maximizing man games. Which is unfortunate considering there are a number of FAs I would have drafted ahead of Laf in a one year. I don't know how that many 60+ potential players are available.

Same for Skinner for me--I'd wait a few more games. But I'd be much more willing to burn a move on him if nothing changes in the next couple of weeks. Tons of FA options who I like ahead of Skinner and a lot of them are close. My top options, in no certain order:

Fiala, Hertl, Couture, Bjorkstrand, Suzuki, Horvat
