    Default Kadri/Tatar for Horvat/Yamamoto

First league in my signature (10 team). GM is offering me Kadri/Tatar/5th round for Horvat/Yamamoto/7th. I am usually a big believer in moving some mid-tier guys early if the pick upgrade is there as valuable guys also come up on the waiver wire (might as well get a pick upgrade early and either find value on the waivers or use the pick to upgrade when GMs start unloading (tanking).

However, for this deal, I'm wondering if I'm not giving Yama enough credit? I find Kadri and Horvat similar players in my league (especially as I'm covered for PIMs already). Is Yama primed to be a stud this year with his current linemates? Or should I move him before the buzz wears off? And yes I am competing this year. Getting the draft pick isn't about rebuilding, it's about having assets for later.

    Thanks in advance. Will rep!

This is a fairly even deal, so really depends on how much of a risk you would like to take. Tatar is pretty consistent 60ish point producer (over 82 games) and Yamamoto has potential to be even better than this. The question is how long are you able to wait, as with a keep 7 I am not sure Yamamoto would be someone you would keep (but at least he has potential). As you are competing this year, I would take the Kadri/Tatar side and the improved draft pick.

Thanks! I went for it. I assume by the end of the year I will have better players to keep (unless Yama completely breaks out). The GM dropped his side to an 8th rounder so I took the higher pick and the consistency.
