What to do with Nick Robertson?

Does anyone have any idea about what fantrax is going to do with taxi squad players or what the Leafs plan is for Robertson? Drafted him in league with a short bench hoping to put him in a minors spot if he wasn't playing. It's only day 1, but that's not working out.

Relatedly, would you hang on to him over players like Gurianov, Thomas, Gusev, or Hoglander?

Depending on your league but I would probably grab Gusev, Thomas / Gurianov, Hoglander in this order. Gusev should have good production this year.

Leafs is pretty deep offensively so I don't see Robertson shinning this year even when he plays..

Robertson is a bottom six guy in the short term for Toronto. Longer term he should move up the lineup, but he needs holes and right now the Leafs dont have many. Thats why hes on the taxi squad and not playing with the team full time. Guys like Gurianov, Thomas, Gusev, and Hoglander all are better valued players today and for the foreseeable future.

Robertson will see the NHL this yr I think. But it'll be like 10min a game.

I don't see Vesey sticking with L2, I feel like Hyman will jump up for a more regular role there. Which means Vesey moves to L3, so if he isn't really producing there, Robertson can give a huge shot in the arm offensively to that line. And then he'll likely be on PP2.

Howeverrrrr, it's a 10min a night kind of player right now. I think you use Hoglander for now and then use that slot as a streamer slot. If you had space on a possible NA slot, I'd say stick him there. But I wouldn't hold in this league on Robertson if you're competing, with a limited bench.
