Default Sources to make weekly goalie decisions

    Hey folks,

I always take a look at this sits week ahead, and do some research myself, however, are there any good sources (paid or non) that give some good analysis on upcoming week and possible goalie games.
I have Rask, Shersktin, Mzrak and Demko - dress two weekly, so want to get some good insights no who to start every week.

This weelk i have Rask and Shers, because i am scared of Edmonton against Van lol

I always just check Twitter to see what the media guys are saying. Dobber's Goalie Post can be helpful, but there is no way to predict who will and won't start in certain timeshares.
In a 12 man league where we start 9F, 5D, 1 skater and 2 G daily. It is a H2H league - we keep 2 players but if kept in consecutive season, the draft position is subtracted 5 rounds (17th rounder to 12th rounder).

G, A, +/-, PPP, GWG, HIT, BLK, and DEF.

F - Zibenajad, Nugent-Hopkins, Panarin, Marchand, Hoffman, Cirelli, Kaprizov, Josh Anderson, Burakovsky, Kotkaniemi, Hischier, Arvidsson,
D - Slavin, Doughty, Weber, M. Pettersson, Orlov, McNabb

    W, SV, SV% and SO.

G - Varlamov, Sorokin, Lehner, Binnington
    IR - Rossi

Obviously you have Goaliepost and Leftwinglock for daily start decisions. I don’t think there are any weekly sites out there.

The problem is the coaches may have a rough gameplan for who to start through the coming week, but that could change halfway through Mondays game when Rask lets in 4 goals in the first period and Halak shuts them out to steal a 5-4 win for the Bruins. Goaltending is volatile and often you don’t know who is starting until an hour before the game.

No weekly start options. It's hard enough waiting to hear from the teams who's starting that night, let alone a full weeks notice.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

There's no dependable source, because goalie starts at coach's discretion.
Some coaches do announce a few starts in advance "JimSmith will go for us on Saturday in Buffalo and then BernieBackup is going to start the Sunday game at home".
    But it's rare.

Pattern recognition is your friend here.
B2B games almost always get a start for the backup these days.
The #1 goalie usually plays the first night... but sometimes will prefer the home or road game (usually home)... but you have to learn that.

You'll also eventually see a trend, like the #1 goalie will play 4, then backup plays 1... repeat.
That's not a dependable method, because any B2B will still usually be a split.

I love using Yahoo! "opponents" function.
Trick I use is to click the star to "Watch" a bunch of Yahoo! backups.
Then I'll boot up my watch list, click opponents, and look for the B2Bs...

For example, in one league, I signed up Jack Campbell because TOR has B2B with OTT in the next few days.
So likely Campbell gets one of those starts.

    That's how ya do it!!!

You won't find weekly. That's essentially a guessing game

You want #1 goalies - esp. this year setting weekly starts. God that's going to be a crap shoot. Just imagine you have Vasil - TB has 4 games with no B2B - you start him - he gets an exposure, gets quarantined and boom. .

There will be some discussion about goalie usage patterns either out here, or on GoaliePost or other places. I think Edmonton was doing 2 on 2 off for a while last year.

I think I saw somewhere where Berube said something to the effect that they planned to ride Binnington early due to no back-to-backs. Basically, we need to be on top of things, try to track patterns.
