This reminds me of Dan Boyle like 10 years ago when TB basically said accept a trade to San Jose or we'll put you on waivers and you'll end up in Atlanta. The difference between the situations is obviously the NMC in Yandle's deal. So as mentioned, make him so unhappy that he approves a trade. Dirtbag move honestly.

If its this season I think Winnipeg is their best bet. They need more solid dmen and im not 100% sold on Pionk for PP1 anyways. Winnipeg would consider taking on the years remaining on his deal because free agents dont really want to sign there anyways. In return, Winnipeg trades them Mathieu Perreault whose on their taxi squad with an expiring 4m or so cap hit and Florida retains a bit of salary and gives a sweetener (2nd rounder) for the trouble.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

And with no news of shopping him you'd think playing him would keep his value steady so they can deal him for assets
Does Florida actually think they're contending this year? Brutal.

Looks like I'll have to rent another storage unit for my collection of "Florida organization is poorly run" clippings.

Wouldn't make sense. Perreault's contract is up this year, and he only makes half of what Yandle does.

Who benefits most offensively from Yandle's demotion? Other than Ekblad.

    Weegar?

Has been said already but this is a dirtbag move by the organization considering it will end his impressive ironman streak. What a shame, hockey-wise there is no reason for this, must be something we don't know because if not this is terrible asset management by FLA.

Isn’t this the same ownership group that dumped Gallant unceremoniously making him wait for a cab publicly...

I think that's right. He was on the first pair last year a bunch.

This is probably partly the coach, and partly the upper management. We can't be sure, but since both have that kind of track record, blame away.

Thanks for the share. I wonder if this is due to Florida's system or it's purely on him. Would be great to see how he was doing back in ARI.

I cannot believe the Panthers are gonna treat Yandle like this. I cannot believe his play in camp or how he showed up to camp has him in a game shape that doesn't see him in the top 6 D, and he's not injured.

That kind of people management leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
