Nope. No obvious sarcasm there - "some unprofessional conduct we don't know about" kills that excuse. It's just a poor attempt at sarcasm at best, and people will always look at crap like that and think it's the truth. I needs to be way more over the top - like "treated Coach Q's great-grandmother badly when he dated her".

Sure, I agree that it wasn't over the top obvious, but statements referring to that specific type of scenario (player in doghouse= treating coaches daughter poorly, lolz) have been made so often in head scratching situations that it seems cliche and understood, or so I thought, to be a non serious statement. Maybe i's just me, but I don't recall anyone taking those particular statements at face value before.

Personally, when I'm reading public forums I don't expect anyone else, or myself, to perfectly articulate their thoughts or always use the bang-on, no doubt about it, proper, on-the-nose vocabulary. That could be me claiming the original statement was sarcasm, cliche, or any other term that a given reader might deem appropriate/inappropriate, or whether tweetdriver did or didn't use blatantly obvious punctuation, phrasing or whatever else to make sure his comment would be taken as anything other than intended.

Really, if every post on a site like this needed to be written in a way that no-one could misunderstand then we'd probably have to debate over 90% of the posts that ever get made! To each their own I suppose but I'd find it far to stressful looking at things that way.

Just to make something clear with this post, I'm only looking at this as a discussion over semantics primarily and nothing I hope anyone takes personally.

Back on topic though, I do find it very odd because I've heard many stories about Q being a "players coach". Helping guys reach milestones or put them in situations to earn their bonuses. It was something I remember coming up fairly often when Backcock was getting lambasted around the end of his TML stint that he was kind of the opposite of Q.

I totally get that Yandle isn't a complete player but he is far from useless, and IMO very much a top 6 D on this team. As if FLA don't have a hard enough time attracting quality FAs as it is, things like this will only add to it.
