Meh, I see this as a lateral move at best. Clearly they had to leave and come in at varying times because there's no way they could walk through the same door anywhere close to each other and expect their big heads to not get in the way. Both appear to be arrogant a$$es to me. I cant believe they couldnt find a better personality to replace Milbury than Babcock.

I didn't care for Milbury but he shouldn't have fired for what he said. Fire him because he is not entertaining and unlikable. I am actually looking forward to hearing Babcock as long as he is honest and doesn't protect players and coaches. I am totally here for Sharp and Babcock talking hockey.

IF Babcock wants an NHL job, he'll temper his views on teams and give bland bias takes.

IF Babcock doesn't care about a future NHL job, his takes will be delivered very blandly and he'll talk about players being good guys and how they grew up around good family members.

I hate Millbury, but for TV, he's good. He gives DUMB takes and it gets us stirring. Babcock will be bland when it comes to his takes, but he at least is good with media and will give smart ass takes. But his legitimate takes on hockey will be very bland.
