    Default Interesting training camp notes

If you have pertinent info about training camps or line combos, you can post it here.
I remember a similar thread in a past and I found it quite useful, obviously with the caveat that things can change quickly.
But it's interesting to see the trends.

I'll get the ball rolling with Montreal.
The Danault-Tatar-Gallagher line is intact for the moment (as expected), and Josh Anderson is skating with Suzuki and Drouin.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Jumbo Joe is skating on a line with Matthews and Marner.

    Some bits I found interesting:
TOR - Vesey possibly in Robertson's spot though Robertson is noted in Group 2 to start (Group 1 being the main 20 guys expected to make the roster - 12F/8D).
EDM - Kahun not healthy yet, Nuge with McD.
CHI - Zadorov with Boqvist as a pairing I could see getting a lot of sheltered offensive minutes
PHI - Lots of mixed up F lines, with four viable NHL defence pairings (This is with Morin already as a F). Nolan Patrick back at camp.
    NJ - Zacha on PP1.
MTL - KK, Armia, and Toffoli could be an excellent offensive line.
CAR - Nino on the top line in place of Svech
DAL - Pavelski is waiting on 'updates' from his physical. Doesn't sound good.
COL - Sounds like Bura might be LW1 and not Landy.
NYR - Jack Johnson scored the first goal of the scrimmage, so the world is going to end in 2021.
BOS - Studnicka skating with Marchand and Bergeron.

Debrincat with Strome and Kane. Ouch for Kubalik.

IIRC, Dylan Strome and DeBrincat played together for Erie (OHL).
I kind of expected they'd get a longer look at some point.
I think the coach has to not leave Pat Kane on an island, given the lack of C depth for CHI to start season.

    Some news I've read:
BUF: Hall-Eichel-Olofsson is line 1. Reinhart has pushed down to Staal on line 2 with Skinner.
COL: Devon Toews is getting pairing time with Makar.
FLA: Duclair getting first shot at line 1 in FLA with Barkov/Hubs.
LA: Olli Maatta is pairing fairly well with Drew Doughty.
STL: Robert Thomas might be given the C2 spot for STL, with Brayden Schenn shifting up to line 1 with ROR/Perron.

    - BOS - Marchand -"I plan on being ready" - so there is a chance he might not be?
    - PHI - Patrick - cleared for contact - concussion issues behind him?
    - Covid related??? - Benning, Borowiecki, Carrier, Ekholm & Duchene - deemed "unfit to play" - opens a spot in NAS for Tomasino?
    - STL - Hoffman (PTO) skating with Schwartz & Thomas - could be an effective line

On the flip side for Marchand, sounds like this was bugging him for the last TWO YEARS. If he's fully healthy now and he wasn't then...

Fly Levi or Knight in from Edmonton. Whoever finishes higher in the tourney.

Probably depends on how long the unfit status will last. They might be out for a day or two, in which case no big deal. Otherwise it'd possibly be Knight or Bednard. Or, if it really were long term, trade or sign somone to a PTO.

I quite enjoy this NYR update, haha.

Didn't they also bring Scott Darling in on a PTO?

True - it could simply mean they couldn't attend the first practice. But using the term "unfit to play" is concerning as that is the same way both the NFL & MLB described their covid cases. I guess we just have to keep monitoring their status.
