I got a question about demotions/promotions in Dobber leagues. As a bottom 4 team, I know I get demoted, but do teams get demoted a pro league or do they get demoted all the way down to the Entry leagues?

Invites will be sent, likely, tonight. If not, then beginning of next week. Most likely tonight.

    Awesome news about the invites.

So Stanley League, what time works for you to draft? I'm still off on parental leave, so anytime works for me.

For me, the later in the evening the better. Weeknights are better than weekends.

How's the parenting going? Mine is four and we are a week into school.

She's weirdly fussy during the feeds, but sleeps really well. Also she's above the 99th percentile for height for her age despite being right on the 50th percentile for weight, so she's a beanpole haha.
    All in all can't complain.

I think we've usually done it on a weekday evening sometime around 8 or 9 pm.

My only other draft currently set is Oct 4th at 8pm, so can't do then

Haha, don't worry about the percentile stuff. As long as baby eats well and gains a little weight, everything else is irrelevant. We used to be very worried about our firstborn because he was always in the 20th-25th percentile but the doctor kept reassuring us that his growth curve was just fine and that he was very healthy. He's almost 4 now and he's still the smallest in his group but that doesn't keep him from emptying the snacks shelf like his life depended on it!

Oh for sure. She's happy as is, so no problem. As a numbers guy it's just interesting to see.

I’ll ask this here too… what do you guys think about getting rid of +/- in these tiered leagues? I hate it.

Until Yahoo! has shot differential, +/- is the only stat that rewards players who supply a net-positive of offenseFOR vs offenseAGAINST.
Good defensive players do (typically) have a better +/- than offense-only players.
[Yes... +/- is goalie influenced... and that stinks... which is why shot differential is probably better... but the goal of a hockey game is to scoremoreFOR than teams scoreAGAINST.]

As somebody who loves this game both as an on-ice player and fan... I love +/-.
I will fight for it every day in fantasy hockey leagues.
